Clyde One pundit Mark Wilson has predicted Rangers will sack manager Michael Beale by the close of play on Monday.

Whilst the outspoken former Celtic star does not appear to have any inside track on the situation at Ibrox, he’s claimed the toxicity of Ibrox makes it “impossible” for Beale to continue.

Speaking after Rangers’ 3-1 defeat to Aberdeen at Ibrox, the pressure is mounting on Michael Beale and Mark Wilson expects a decision within the next 24 hours.

“I think a decision (on Michael Beale) will be made before Monday,” Mark Wilson told Clyde One’s Superscoreboard (30/09).

“I don’t think Michael Beale will limp on, just because of the toxic nature inside the ground after the game and what we’re hearing on the phones.

“So how can you limp on when that is the atmosphere with your support? It becomes an impossible environment to work in.”

Mark Wilson tips Michael Beale for Rangers sack

Rangers fans have been left furious by a stumbling start to the season which sees the club already 7 points behind Old Firm rivals Celtic.

Defeats to Kilmarnock, Celtic and Aberdeen have Michael Beale on the brink after a summer rebuild which has not worked with the Ibrox side also in the midst of an injury crisis.

With the club’s injury list now into double figures, there’s an element of karma as Aberdeen sucker punch Michael Beale and Rangers in Glasgow.

The result also comes as Mark Wilson’s former side Celtic grind out a late win at Motherwell before Michael Beale’s Rangers fluffed their lines at Ibrox.

That personal responsibility sums up the difference between the two sides at present and Rangers have it all to do this season.

With a decision on Michael Beale expected sooner rather than later, attentions will quickly turn to who Rangers get in to replace him.

There is one Premiership rival who might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but who’d finally make a timid Rangers hard to beat.
