Rangers club insider Four Lads Had a Dream have revealed potential plans for a new Rangers museum in the Edmiston House building in the grounds of Ibrox.

The building is currently lying vacant and the comments of Four Lads echo those of managing director Stewart Robertson who suggested back in May that the property could be brought back into use [RangersTV].

According to Four Lads, the club are currently undertaking a feasibility study about the building ahead of the club’s 150-year anniversary in 2022.

As the tweets explain, the club are looking at three ways they can use the famous Edmiston House facility.

Rangers are considering installing a proper ticket office in the site, opening a “huge” café, and the exciting prospect of a club museum.

As part of that, Four Lads revealed that Rangers have now hired a staff member to catalogue the materials and little bits of history associated with Ibrox.

It’s an incredibly exciting prospect for fans and whilst the plans are still awaiting conclusion, it’s the kind of vision and foresight a club like Rangers should be striving for.

“With the club’s 150th anniversary coming up in 2022 there are a couple of feasibility projects going on at the moment in terms of bringing Edmiston House back into use, which would be a great facility for the supporters,” Robertson told Rangers TV.

“There are other areas around the stadium as well which, as we progress that work, we will announce it in due course. But I’m quite excited with the plans that are coming together.”
