Serie A club Fiorentina could be set for a serious £36m cash injection amid reports the Viola are interested in Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.
Reports coming out of Italy are suggesting that AC Milan are in hot pursuit of Serbian defender Nikola Milenkovic with the Florentine club holding out €40m (£36m).
Gazzetta dello Sport claims the Rossoneri’s interest in the 22-year-old centre-half is legit but Fiorentina’s asking price may well be an issue.
Another report from Italian outlet SportMediaset claims the Milan giants want to deal closer to €30m (£27m) with the player’s agent a major player in any deal.
Established Italian journalist Luca Calamai also suggested that Milan’s pursuit of the defender was “serious” and backed up claims Fiorentina could look to Roma centre-half Frederico Fazio to replace him.

Whatever the case, it looks Milan could be about to make their move for the player and in turn provide the Artemio Franchi club with a major cash injection in the process.
Fiorentina were linked with a move for Rangers star Morelos earlier in the window when Foot Mercato claimed the Italians were musing over a £18m (€20m) move for the player.
This report was then backed up by the Sunday Post, who interviewed ex-Celtic and Hamilton midfielder Massimo Donati about Fiorentina’s proposed interest.
“I could see this one happen, I really could,” he said.
“I know Morelos very well. He is a player who has good technical qualities, in every area of the game.
“But his real strength is his nose for goals. This is a great thing that many more famous forwards than him do not possess.
“I think he could be very happy at Fiorentina as he would play with Federico Chiesa and Franck Ribery, two extraordinary players who could give him many assists.
“With their support, I think he could be a big success in Florence.”
