Chris Sutton Twitter has become a trending topic amongst Rangers fans as the 49-year-old takes aim at Michael Beale.
The row began when Sutton questioned whether Beale would have allowed Celtic to walk a goal in after the 42-year-old let Partick Thistle equalise, following a controversial Malik Tillman goal in the recent 3-2 win.
As a result, Beale called Sutton a “comedy act” of a pundit, and also hinted that he is the worst ever player to appear for Chelsea.
So, how has Sutton hit back on Twitter? Let’s take a look…
Chris Sutton Twitter
Well, the war of words continues.
After hearing what Beale said about his time at Chelsea, Sutton posted the following on Twitter: “The dog barks but the caravan keeps moving on?”
Sutton added that “a mountain out of a molehill” has been made regarding the situation.
However, he didn’t stop there.
Sutton then proceeded to base his entire column for the Daily Record on the spat with Beale, calling the Rangers boss a “thin skinned dictator” who “likes the sound of his own voice” in his preview for the article.
At the risk of us adding fuel to the fire, Sutton cannot exactly call Beale “thin skinned” and appear to be taking the moral high ground while also writing an entire article on the situation.
If anything, that is hypocrisy in its purest form.
Moving away from Twitter and into the aforementioned Daily Record column, Sutton said Beale had a “meltdown” over his comment regarding the Partick Thistle goal, adding that it was a “good laugh” to watch.
He added that the Bromley-born Rangers boss is “touchy” before mocking him for his own professional playing career, which ended at 21 following spells in the youth ranks at Charlton Athletic and Twente.
It remains to be seen if Beale hits back at Sutton, although there is no doubt that the latter has embarrassed himself by continuing to go on about it.
