Chris Sutton gushes over Danny Rohl as Rangers prediction made ahead of Celtic clash

Chris Sutton has been amazed by the turnaround at Rangers after Danny Rohl took over the reins.

The Gers looked completely out of the title picture when the German joined in October, but now are only four points off the top of the league.

Rangers go into the game against Celtic as favourites, and a victory in that game would send a clear message of their intentions to win their 56th Scottish Premiership title.

Sutton believes that Rohl has done an “absolutely phenomenal” job in getting Rangers back in the mix for the title.

In his view, the mood inside the club is joyous, and that is being reflected on the pitch as well.

Usually one to criticise the Ibrox outfit, Sutton is of the view that they have a better chance of catching up with Hearts than Celtic.

Celtic are two points behind the Gers, but have a game in hand over them as well as the league leaders.

However, their form has not been the best, and they are barely managing to get over the line against teams they should be beating easily.

Discussing the title picture and Rohl’s impact, Sutton told Sky Sports: “I think Rangers are in a better position. They are a more harmonious club.

“There is a nervousness among Rangers fanbase because they’ve got themselves back in a title race under Danny Rohl, whose record has been absolutely phenomenal.”

Are Rangers favourites for the Scottish Premiership title?

Even though Rangers are four points behind the league leaders, many have made them favourites for the title.

They showed against Hearts that they are capable of beating the best team in Scotland this season, and appear to have found their groove at the right time.

Rohl has figured out what his strongest eleven is, and while he will need to change it for some games, it is important that the best team plays as many minutes as possible.

It is fair to make the Gers the favourites currently, but they need to continue winning games and playing well, as both Hearts and Celtic are not going to go away any time soon.
