Chris Sutton isn’t hard to wind up but, Michael Beale really hit a nerve when the Rangers manager labelled Ange Postecoglu as being lucky when he was appointed Celtic manager.
Proving that Rangers is all he ever thinks about, since the gaffer made the claim, we’ve heard the soon-to-be-ex-Celtic boss refer to it on multiple occasions.
Now, as he always does, Chris Sutton’s first thought with Postecoglu leaving his beloved side has been about Michael Beale and Rangers.
Taking to Twitter, the shock jock pundit referred to the statement made several months ago now claiming:
“Michael Beale is a lucky man….”
There was nothing lucky about the 3-0 win at Ibrox Chris, that had been coming for a while.
Chris Sutton is obsessed with Michael Beale and Rangers
It just goes to show how an out of context comment got under the skins off those of a green and white persuasion so easily.
Chris Sutton ignored Michael Beale’s explanation about the claim when talking about Rangers own rebuild.
Not that he should have needed to in the first place, but we all know what Scottish football is like.
Postecoglu was lucky.

He inherited a job with a financial position that allowed him to go out and buy his top targets.
Who did Giovanni van Bronckhorst get last January?
James Sands, Mateusz Zukowski, Aaron Ramsey and Amad Diallo.
Three loan signings and a Polish youngster who clearly isn’t good enough.
Of course, Celtic’s player trading model has been successful and put them in that position but Postecoglu had nothing to do with that – a simple enough concept.
It’s just typical after Michael Beale has made a solid start to his summer transfer window that Sutton would instantly think about Rangers at a time of unrest at Parkhead.
For Chris Sutton and Celtic minded pundits like him, it will always be someone else’s fault and it will always be about the Rangers.
