Cheeky Rangers fans troll Celtic rivals with Europa League last 16 demand

In winning against Braga last night, Rangers became the first side to make it through to the last 16 of the Europa League.

Already in the hat for Friday’s draw for the latter stages of the tournament, the Ibrox club now waits to see who will join them after tonight’s round of fixtures.

But in trolling rival Celtic fans, there’s only one team that the Bears want to see pulled out alongside Rangers come Friday afternoon. And they don’t play in green and white.

Many Rangers fans have been calling on Danish outfit Copenhagen to pull off a stunning victory at Parkhead and join them in the last 16 of the Europa League.

Currently tied 1-1 with Old Firm rivals Celtic, Copenhagen can count themselves unlucky not to be ahead after missing a penalty in the first-leg.

But they will have to come to Celtic Park and score against a Celtic team currently flying high on a rich vein of form in 2020.

Rangers fans – displaying a callous disregard for the coefficient – are backing the Danes to do so as they prod Celtic fans from the security of the last 16.

It’s worth noting that if Rangers can draw Copenhagen, then they can also draw Old Firm rivals Celtic.

Should that happen, there threatens to be three Old Firm derbies in a week, with a domestic tie at Ibrox sandwiched between the Europa League last 16 dates (12th & 19th March).
