The Daily Star reports that Rangers are one of several clubs in the hunt for Joe Aribo’s signature.
It’s claimed that Aston Villa currently lead the race, but that Man City, Celtic and the Gers are all interested.

The Charlton Athletic midfielder turned out 39 times and scored ten goals this season.
The last of those appearances came on Sunday afternoon, as the Addicks secured promotion to the Championship via the League One play-off final.
Ahead of the fixture, his manager, Lee Bowyer, praised the 22-year-old but urged him to stay put.

“You have got Joe Aribo, who is out of contract, who has improved so much it is frightening to watch,” he said, as quoted by the Daily Star.
“He is like a sponge. He just takes everything in and uses it, because he has got so many strengths but I’ve said it to him many times and he won’t mind me saying, he has still got so much to learn so this is the right club for him to learn at. But whether he stays or not will be Joe’s decision.”

Aribo certainly showed durability and an eye for goal across the 2018/19 League One campaign.

He’s become a more and more integral part of the first team at the Valley. In so doing, he’s attracted the interest of several very big clubs here.
Given that he’s out of contract, there will be no bidding war. With Aston Villa said to be favourites in the race, though, the Gers may yet find themselves looking elsewhere.
Until he signs elsewhere, there will always be a chance and Rangers would do well to keep their hat in the ring.
With his club season now over, developments on his future are likely over the coming weeks.
