he prospect of Rangers signing Ryan Kent has bluenoses salivating, but it’ll be leaving Celtic’s Mikael Lustig with shredded fingernails.
Granted, the Swedish right-back might not even be at Celtic Park next season. By the same token, Kent might not be at Ibrox either.
But should both find their way back to Glasgow come July, the Celtic right-back will be quaking in his very often over-sized boots.

There have scarcely been more average players goad Rangers during times of turmoil. But Mikael Lustig, a hero to our rivals for doing so, was quickly found out by Ryan Kent.
So much so that the Swedish right-back forced the Celtic bench to sub him off after coming up against the Liverpool loanee. Not once, but twice!
Kent is a player that not only gives Lustig nightmares but someone who is clearly thought of as a danger by the entire Celtic team. His signing is as big for Rangers on the pitch as it is psychologically off it.

Reports broke this week that Rangers were close to finally reaching an agreement with Liverpool over Ryan Kent [The Scottish Daily Mail (10/6, back page]. That’s despite the club also reportedly being close to signing Sheyi Ojo [Daily Record].
As for Lustig, reports claim he’s set to decide on his future in the coming days. Perhaps he’s just waiting to see if Ryan Kent signs on at Rangers first!
