Rangers blew Aberdeen away 5-0 to close the gap on Celtic to one point, and our rival club’s fans haven’t exactly taken it all that well.
The Parkhead club were left outraged when two penalty shouts weren’t given by referee Kevin Clancy against Hibs, whilst Rangers got two against Aberdeen.
For some Celtic fans, it’s further evidence of a deep-rooted conspiracy to stop Celtic winning 10 in a row. Seriously.

What’s incredible about these tweets – of which these are the cleaner ones – is that they seem to completely excuse the fact the two penalties Rangers were awarded were stonewallers.
They cannot be argued against.
From the Celtic Hibs game, the first incident may well have been a penalty. The second would’ve been very, very soft.
But just as two wrongs don’t make a right, Celtic being denied a penalty, even if wrongly, doesn’t mean Rangers should be to even up the score.
Beyond that, Celtic also got the rub of the green from whistler Clancy throughout the game, not least in his decision not to send off Oliver Ntcham for striking Hibs’ Josh Vela.
It appears that Rangers convincingly closing that gap with Celtic has lit a bit of a fire underneath some members of their support.

Not because of some deep-rooted Masonic conspiracy favouring the Ibrox club.
No matter how much their fans shout Sevco or desperately want it to be true.
