As Rangers extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to 11 points, the nerves have begun to jangle across the city at Celtic Park.
There’s a growing sentiment amongst the Celtic support than manager Neil Lennon should be sacked as Rangers quietly go about their business in thumping fashion both at home and abroad.

But news has now dropped via our friends to the east that the under-fire Celtic boss will keep his job heading into a pivotal part of the season.
Celtic obviously have two games in hand with Rangers’ lead effectively five points should they win those matches – of which there is no guarantee – and according to the Herald the Parkhead board are backing their man.
By the same token, Lennon is refusing to budge as the pressure mounts across the city in this pivotal footballing season in Scotland.
For many Rangers fans, this is positive news.
The club’s supporters feel that as this juncture the Celtic support and team is so fractured that it’s impacting their performances and kicking up a negative atmosphere.
There’s also a feeling that by the time any decision on Lennon is taken it could be too late in the title race.
Change it now – splash the cash on a major manager – and it might just alter the mentality of the Old Firm games, which are looking to be all-important this season.
At the moment it’s advantage Rangers but there will be tougher tests to come as the season enters a pivotal period.
For many Celtic fans, it’s not the news they want as they face up the genuine potential of missing out on their Holy Grail of “10IAR”.
Here’s how they reacted to the news that Neil Lennon is set to stay in his job following a 2-2 draw with Hibs at the weekend – grab the popcorn:

Rangers just need to concentrate on what they’re doing no matter what happens across the City with the Ibrox side unbeaten in 21 games across all competitions this season.
But that hasn’t stopped some Rangers fans indulging in the panic of our rivals as they tuned into a popular radio show after a crunch weekend in the title race.
