Cheeky Celtic fans have launched a petition to call the Scottish Premiership season amid the pandemic – with Parkhead fans winding up their Rangers counterparts in the process.
But whilst the origin of the campaign to “Null and Void” the season appears to have been started in jest, there are more than a few desperate Celtic supporters eager to see the campaign called.

As you can tell by references to ex-Celtic star Scott Sinclair and to the Covid-19 virus, someone is clearly at the wind-up.
“COVID-19 is rolling through Scotland like 16/17 Scott Sinclair and much like Sinclair COVID-19 is fast as lightning,” reads the petition [Change.org].
“In order to BATTLE this horrendous virus we MUST null and void the SPFL and start fresh in august 2021 if it’s safe to do so.
“It will be a tough one to take for many of the Scots but in order to make Scotland safe again it’s a necessity.
“So I ask you to sign this petition as your grandfather and his grandfather before him would have wanted you to and to share it on ALL social media platforms.
“This season cannot continue, it’s a matter of life and death.”
Rangers currently have a 19-point lead in the Scottish Premiership with Celtic having the opportunity to cut the gap to 10 points courtesy of three games in hand.
Despite floundering in the second half of the last two campaigns, Rangers are in a firmer position than ever to go on and secure a legendary 55th title.

It’s a trophy which would be all the sweeter given Celtic fans have heaped all the pressure on this campaign and their own concept of 10IAR.
But whilst Gers fans can celebrate a 1-0 victory over their greatest rivals at the weekend, they will do well to shelve any title celebrations until they get their hand on the trophy.
