Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been officially recognised by UEFA [UEFA] as having scored the most goals before Christmas in the history of any UEFA competition – and Celtic fans aren’t happy.
True to form, our Old Firm rivals have gotten salty on Twitter after El Bufalo was recognised for his exploits in the Europa League.
His 14 strikes in Europe in a single season have taken him level with the likes of Lionel Messi, only three off Cristiano Ronaldo and four off countryman and record holder Radamel Falcao on 18.

Record-breaker Morelos has scored in his last five European games for Rangers – another record – and he ended up with six in six for the group stage.
Morelos is also only three goals off matching Ally McCoist’s European goalscoring record of 21 goals for Rangers in continental competition.
He leads the official Europa League scoring charts for the group campaign, and he scored an incredible eight goals in qualifying.
Don’t be surprised if he matches or surpasses that record of 18, set by Falcao for Porto in the 2010/11 season.
Rangers fans are naturally loving the fact UEFA have officially recognised their talisman but get a swatch at the seethe coming out of Shellick park.

And to think, this is before Morelos has scored a goal against our rivals. Just think about how beautiful the meltdown will be when the wee man eventually does…
