Celtic fan makes Clyde 1 stitch up complaint as Rangers fans torment under Philippe Clement

Only in the basket case of the Old Firm could one set of fans be calling for a manager’s head when they are top of the league, and yet, Rangers recent return to form under Philippe Clement has seen just that.

Both sides have injury problems but only one manager is complaining about them, Brendan Rodgers, and with two league defeats in a row, the pressure is starting to build.

Despite still being five points behind, with the league cup in the bag, Rangers fans are clearly enjoying life under Philippe Clement with one Celtic fan in particular getting a hard time of it, as told to Clyde Superscoreboard.

Rangers ramping up the pressure under Philippe Clement

In the space of a couple of months, the tide has well and truly turned.

As Mark Warburton once said, there is always a good guy and a bad guy when it comes to how the Old Firm is reported on and it is Brendan Rodgers that is currently feeling the heat.

Speaking to CSSB, John in Greenock, vented his frustration about the current structure at Celtic and that he has had enough:

“I’ve got to go into work, I came into work last Monday morning and there was a box of Killie pies on my desk, I come in this week and there’s a box of jam tarts lying on my desk!”

Celtic face Livingston next at the Toni Macaroni Arena, it almost writes itself doesn’t it?

All Rangers can do under Philippe Clement is concentrate on themselves, take one game at a time and chip away at the lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table before improving the squad in January.

If you think the pressure on Rodgers is intense now, imagine what will happen if we get to the winter break top of table.

As fans, we are allowed to get carried away with ourselves, it’s part and parcel of being a supporter.

Personally, I prefer to keep my powder dry, after all, when Rangers lost 3-1 to Aberdeen at Ibrox, Celtic fans were already putting the bunting up – until Philippe Clement came to town.
