Images of Rangers new strip have emerged online as Castore look to continue their good form for this season.

The team might be stuttering along but the three kits that have been released so far have all been well received in a good mix of classic and retro designs.

Appearing on X, it looks like red and blue are going to be the colours as Rangers fourth offering from Castore gets set for release.

Rangers set to drop fourth Castore kit release

The first question has to be – why has four kits become the norm?

In the 90s, two seemed to be more than enough for everyone before three became a novelty.

Special, commemorative strips are more prevalent but there is an understanding as to why they might get released but, when you look at the difference between Rangers three Castore kits this season, there is no need for another.

A greater awareness of the TV audience and for viewers who are colour blind has seen more games where teams aren’t wearing what would be expected.

The Europa League final in 2022 being a great example, but at a time when money is tight for a lot of people, four kits smacks of a lack of awareness and an attempt to milk the fans.

The problems at Rangers seem to have been ironed out in terms of distribution and quality, however, Castore are hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons again down south.

Aston Villa have complained to the fledging sportswear manufacturer about their players being unhappy with the material for their strips.

Running about with sweat-soaked tops is nobody’s idea of fun.

Hopefully, this new offering doesn’t leave Michael Beale’s men dripping….
