One of Rangers fans’ many complaints about Castore is the number of kits that have been produced since providing our kit, however, as revealed by Ally McCoist, even they wouldn’t do what Nike have done with Barcelona.
This season, Light Blues fans have the choice of four strips for some reason with two, and even three, no longer enough to avoid a clash it would appear.
The price tags are expensive but they are no different to every other kit supplier and social media would be some place if Rangers tried to pull what Barcelona have, as explained by Ally McCoist on Talksport.

Barcelona kit shock leaves Ally McCoist reeling
Special edition kits have grown in popularity in recent years.
Black-out editions, Napoli’s Halloween strips, Venezia’s designer gear and retro or anniversary options like Rangers 150th anniversary top seem to be common place.
What isn’t common, is having to fork out €399 or nearly £350 for a Barcelona top as Ally McCoist discussed with Andy Townsend on Talksport:
“Barcelona announced on Thursday that they will wear the iconic Rolling Stones tongue and lips logo on their shirt when they play Real Madrid in El Classico next weekend.
“I’ve just seen a picture of it actually and it looks brilliant.
“Now this is the bit that definitely gets us.
“The shirt has already sold out despite it’s whopping €399 (price tag).
“I mean, that’s not on.
“I just think about mums and dads with kids and that, you’re not spending €800 on two shirts!”

That the strips have sold out at the price proves that the market is there for them, however, how many have be bought to be sold on at an even higher price?
When Rangers played in special kits against Gotherburg and Grasshoppers, the Nike kits were never released despite being universally popular amongst Rangers fans.
The Barcelona shirt looks ok but £350?
I’m just glad my son prefers Real Madrid!
