BT Sports broadcaster Emma Dodds is set to spill the beans on that Steven Gerrard interview just moments before he left Rangers for Aston Villa.
The likeable journalist, who also works extensively for RangersTV, was speaking to the Liverpool legend following the Ibrox club’s 2-0 Europa League win over Brondby at Ibrox.
The victory came just days before the subsequent international break which would see Steven Gerrard jump ship from Rangers and some soundbites given to Emma Dodds are now part of the Scottish footballing lexicon.
Asked about his future amid links to the Premier League, Gerrard sarcastically hit back at questions from Dodds regarding his situation at Rangers.
Famously, the then Ibrox manager asked “do I look happy? Do I look settled?” [BT Sport] but days later Gerrard was on a train to Birmingham to sign a deal at Villa Park.

Now, Emma Dodds has been speaking about the Steven Gerrard interview with the Glasgo Podcast and is set to spill the beans on her side of the story.
“I think I spoke to him more than his family,” joked Dodds.
“Honestly, I felt we had quite good banter anyway. As I do with quite a lot of other managers.
“You can be sort of cheeky and chipper and chirpy, you know, as I would be sometimes with him.
“He’d give me a one word answer I’d give him a one word question back; when he’d say no I’d say why, do you know what I mean?
“It was reciprocated in that way. He knew that question was coming. I don’t think that question was out of order.
“I always put myself in the position of the fans who’re watching the interview or the viewers who’re watching it, what do they want to know from this interview?”
