The official Rangers Twitter account has appeared to troll the SPFL over a post they shared regarding the Scottish Premiership’s top scorers so far this season.
The league’s professional club body shared an image promoting Celtic star Albian Ajeti as the top scorer with five goals.
The post then included teammate Odsonne Edouard in second, Hibs’ Kevin Nisbet in third and Aberdeen’s Lewis Ferguson in fourth with four goals each.
However, Rangers fans were quick to notice that both captain James Tavernier and winger Ryan Kent also have four goals each, as does Kilmarnock striker Nicke Kabamba.
The list is ordered in minutes per goal but it’s misleading and sloppy from the SPFL to leave out three players from the list for this particular graphic.
Not to mention the fact that top goalscorer lists and awards are decided on assists when goals are tied, meaning Tavernier and Kent should both be above Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard.
Plenty of fans think that it’s the controversial body’s social media team trolling the Gers support, but it was the Ibrox club’s official Twitter account who’d have the last laugh.
Rangers shared an image of their skipper and talisman hugging as a nod to the fact that they really should be included on the SPFL’s chart.
Rangers fans saluted the club for being reactive to this with the SPFL left suitably speechless ever since.
