BBC journalist with strange Scott Brown Rangers claim

BBC Journalist Tom English has claimed that Scott Brown was aiming his goading celebrations at Celtic fans.
In bizarre comments on Twitter, English concedes that if Brown was noising it up, then he was bang out. But he genuinely has doubts that the Celtic captain was looking to antagonise the travelling Rangers support.

The BBC journalist says it’s “fair enough” if you can prove he aimed the gesture at Rangers fans. Brown undoubtedly aimed the gesture at Rangers fans.
The thing about all this Scott Brown fall-out is that had it been almost any Rangers player, there’d be nationwide uproar. If it had been Alfredo Morelos, they’d need to deploy tanks in George Square.
Being a bad loser is bad enough, being a bad winner is somewhat worse. Brown’s behaviour was akin to a half-cut grunt in an Easterhouse bear pit lording a pool cue in your face after he’s just skudded you on a technicality.
In the environment the behaviour was pathetic. Thankfully, many pundits, journalists and even ex-Celtic players agree. He deserves a ban – let’s be honest here.

Tom English is seriously clutching at straws with this benign defence. But even if Scott Brown was at it, it’s time to move on. Not just for Rangers fans, but the rest of the league.

Let’s just sit back and watch the meltdown when he gets a ban in May. And then “get it up” him by beating Celtic on the Ibrox pitch little under a fortnight later.
