Barry Ferguson has said that Rangers would be able to make a lot of money on Malik Tillman if the Gers make his loan deal permanent at the end of the season and then sell him in the future, as quoted in The Scottish Sun.

The former Rangers star has been hugely impressed by how well Tillman has done for the Gers so far this season.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joined Rangers on loan from German giants Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022.

Tillman has made 18 starts and five substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for the Gers so far this season.

The USA international attacking midfielder has scored seven goals and given four assists in those games.

Tillman has also made four starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League for the Ibrox club so far this campaign.

The youngster has also scored one goal in one Scottish Cup match and has played twice in the Scottish League Cup for Rangers so far this season.

According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers have to pay Bayern a certain amount of transfer fee if they are to make Tillman’s loan deal permanent in the summer transfer window.

Ferguson said: “He’s a special talent – there’s no doubt about it. And he’s only going to get better – that’s my opinion.

“You’re looking at that €5m (£4.42m) figure – and if he comes in and has a brilliant season next year, if Rangers do manage to get him on a long-term deal, then what are you talking? Double or treble that.”
