Rangers fans have a right to be positive after the start that Philippe Clement has made since replacing Michael Beale as manager.
The Gers boss took over a side that had just been humiliated at Ibrox and in Europe and has turned the whole club completely around.
With Rangers moving level on points at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, Philippe Clement is invoking special memories for Light Blues legend Barry Ferguson, as written in his Daily Record column.

Now that we are on level terms, it’s easy to compare the current season to epic Old Firm title races of the past, especially the ones where we came out on top.
Ferguson was front and centre on more than one occasion with the ex-Gers skipper drawing comparisons from a last-gasp league win that went right to the final whistle of the season:
“I’m not saying the league is won already or that it’s Rangers to lose. Of course not.
“This race will go all the way down to the wire.
“But what I do believe is that the bond which has been built between the players and the supporters will give Rangers the best chance of going all the way.
“Back in 2003 it felt almost like we were being swept along on the crest of a wave.
“We might just be about to see something very similar between now and May.”
One of the key aims of Philippe Clement when he first took the Rangers job was to bring the synergy between the fans and the players back again.
So far, it is a pledge that he has delivered on.
Ferguson is right, even players like Cyriel Dessers, who had previously been written off, have their own songs.
The buzz hasn’t just been created from a run of good results either.
Every game there is an intensity and clear determination from the players.
As Alex McLeish did in 2003 – when Chris Sutton claimed Dunfermline lay down – all Philippe Clement can do is take each game one at a time in what is shaping up to be a title race Rangers fans could well cherish as much as the final day shoot-outs of the past.
