Rangers have been given some bad news by Ange Postecoglou ahead of the Scottish Cup Semi-Final on Sunday.

The Gers go up against Celtic at Hampden Park with a place in the Scottish Cup final on the line, where Inverness await after their 3-0 win against Falkirk earlier on Saturday.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Postecoglou delivered an update which Rangers fans would have preferred not to hear.

What Postecoglou said ahead of Rangers vs Celtic Semi-Final

Well, the Australian revealed that Reo Hatate, Liel Abada and Jota are all fit to face Rangers at Hampden Park on Sunday.

As quoted by the BBC, Postecoglou said: “All three boys have missed a bit recently and are itching to get involved.

“It’s hugely beneficial for us as a group. Even training this week has gone up a level because we have three more quality players who have joined in.

“It certainly helps, not just with the starting XI, but the ability to then go to the bench and impact the game. We obviously have training to go on Saturday and they need to get through that, but they have had a strong week of training and I am really pleased they are available.”

Of course, Rangers have enough firepower to beat Celtic when they’re at full strength.

However, there is no denying that the trio have caused Rangers problems in the past.

Hatate has scored two goals and provided two assists in his seven appearances against Rangers so far, while Jota has scored three goals in eight against the Gers, assisting one.

In regards to Abada, the Israel international also has three goals and one assist in eight appearances against Rangers.

The trio have history of causing Rangers issues, so Beale will need to ensure his players keep an eye on them at Hampden Park on Sunday now they have been passed fit to play.
