Andy Halliday reckons there are ‘serious questions’ to be asked at Rangers after yet more embarrassment against Hibs at Ibrox.
Rangers are on the worst home run in the club’s history, the 2-0 defeat to Hibs the fifth match Rangers have lost in a row at Ibrox.
Central to the defeat was out-of-form goalkeeper Jack Butland, who allowed Dylan Levitt’s shot from the edge of the box to trickle through his body for the Hibs opener.
Barry Ferguson singled out Jack Butland at full-time and told reporters that the 31-year-old stopper was made aware about the gravity of yet another high-profile mistake.
With calls for Liam Kelly to be reinstated against Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League, Andy Halliday has suggested any goodwill Butland built up last season has now gone.

Andy Halliday raises ‘serious questions’ over Jack Butland’s form
Speaking to Clyde Superscoreboard, Andy Halliday reckons a succession of errors could cost Jack Butland his place as Rangers number one.
Halliday reckons that there are ‘serious questions’ now being asked of the Ibrox stopper, whose poor form has contributed to the club’s drastic domestic season.
”I think we’re at the stage now where Jack Butland’s goodwill for his performances last year and his performances that got him into the top four shortlist for the PFA Player of the Year are gone,” Halliday explained
”I think we’re now at the realms of asking serious questions whether Jack Butland continues as the Rangers number one.”
Expanding on the point, Halliday reckons that Butland’s decision-making has ‘cost Rangers points’ and lambasted the goalkeeper for recent errors.
”I think it’s far too many high profile, glaring errors and not even shots that you think ‘do you know what, he should save that’,” Halliday explained.
”It’s really, really poor errors. Again it’s a volley from outside the box that has no real venom in it, no real pace in it, and it gets caught under his body and again it’s cost Rangers points.”
Barry Ferguson threatens to drop Jack Butland v Athletic Bilbao
The comments from Andy Halliday come after Barry Ferguson promised to ring the changes after the defeat to Hibs at Ibrox.
Rangers are set to welcome Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League this week but a furious Ferguson pointed to changes in the aftermath of the shock 2-0 loss to Hibs.
Ferguson said: ”There’ll be a series of changes on Thursday night. And I can say that right now.”
Asked specifically about Jack Butland’s mistake, the interim Rangers manager replied: “Listen, as I said, when I come up here, I’m open and honest. And I’ve said to Jack, it’s a bad mistake. He understands that.”
