In January, two of Rangers’ brightest youth prospects, Andy Dallas and Robby McCrorie, joined Greenock Morton, on loan until the end of the season.

So far, the two players have experienced contrasting fortunes.

Dallas, on the other hand, has been restricted mainly to substitute appearances, and is yet to score a goal.

When their weekend fixture against Alloa Athletic was called off, it looked as though both players would be out of action for a while.
Jonatan Johansson’s side have no fixtures scheduled until they host Partick Thistle on 30 March.
Yet, it appears Rangers are keen to keep Dallas sharp.

They travelled to England on Tuesday afternoon for a friendly fixture against Premier League club, Burnley.
Despite going two goals down in first half, the young side came back to share the spoils.
Encouragingly, Dallas got himself on the scoresheet.
He had one ruled out in the opening stages, but after being felled in the area he converted his own penalty.

Nathan Patterson then levelled things at 2-2 during the second period.
After a lean couple of months in terms of playing time and goals, it’s great to see young Dallas back on the scoresheet.
