Alfredo Morelos says “we go for more”

In the run up to this Old Firm, Alfredo Morelos was the subject of some untimely transfer talk.

All he really did was say that he expected interest. All Steven Gerrard did was say he’d be surprised if there wasn’t.

After the result today he left a pretty cryptic tweet. It loosely translates as “Big time Victory we go for more 🐃💪❤️⚪️💙 WATP”

Does that mean he’s staying?

Morelos loves playing for us, you can see that in his relationship with the fans. But he undoubtedly has crutch against them. Today he snatched a bit at his chances and maybe on another day he’d have scored.

Not that he didn’t play well or that he didn’t battle. He was just too focused on scoring.

But towards the end of the match he knuckled down and understood what a result meant. He fought for balls, laid it off, became an integral focal point of the team.

Jack took the responsibility off of him with the goal and he was clearly delighted with the result. Will he stay in Scotland? Probably not forever. But I think we’ll have him until the end of the season at least.

He’s a feisty wee player with a point to prove. And part of that is scoring against Celtic.
