Alfredo Morelos ruled out of crunch clash

Alfredo Morelos just can’t help himself. As is the form, the striker came off the bench and scored the second goal before getting an assist in a 3-0 win

He’s unplayable on his day.

But the wee man also seems to always get involved in off-the-ball problems. As well as secure the win, he also picked up his standard yellow card.

He played under half an hour.

The harsh yellow – which was for dissent – rules Morelos out of the Dundee game on December 9th.

Kyle Lafferty will deputise against the Dark Blues with every game massive in the race for the title.

Does Alfredo need more protection from refs?

Alfredo Morelos has done superbly well so far to cool down his reaction to brinksmanship and over-physical play.

He is regularly targeted by the opposition. The amount of grief that he gets on the pitch at times is ridiculous.

The booking came after Livinston’s Alan Lithgow appeared to shove him off the ball. Morelos didn’t react but still got a booking.

Referees can’t get their card out quick enough when it comes to the Colombian. There’s rarely a time he gets the benefit of the doubt. He is often earmarked as the problem causer without much investigation.

He can’t win.

Referees need to shoulder the responsibility here. The players must be protected by the Officials and Morelos is targeted perhaps more than anyone else in the league.

And Rangers and Morelos are the ones who continue to suffer with poor officiating.
