There are fresh reports of Rangers interest in Mohanad Ali.
The 18-year-old plays up front for the Iraq national team and Al-Shorta, in the country’s Premier League.

According to Football Insider, Ali has attracted the attention of the Gers and other major clubs throughout Europe, through stand out performances in the Asian Cup.
The tournament is ongoing, but Ali has scored twice in the opening three matches. Those were his side’s opening goals in victories over Vietnam and Yemen.
As a result, the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Napoli and Anderlecht are also said to be in the hunt for his services.

MORE RANGERS STORIES
Yet, the players agent, Christian Emile, insisted the striker won’t be rushed into any decisions.
“After his performances with the Iraq national team, it is only natural that there is enormous interest in Mohanad Ali, as well as some of the biggest clubs in the Arabic countries”, he told Football Insider.
“However, we are calm and will make a decision when the time is right. For now, the player’s focus is fully on the Asian Cup.”
Certainly, agents always like to play up interest levels in their clients.
In this case, though, it does seem as though there are plenty of possible suitors. After all, the striker has already scored eight times in 14 international appearances.

Rangers may have to fend off some strong competition if they want to pull off a deal for Ali.
Yet, they worked wonders bringing Jermain Defoe to Ibrox.
Who’s to say they can’t pull off another coup?
