One thing Michael Beale got right in the summer was the loan signing of Abdallah Sima who joined Rangers looking to kick start his career after an indifferent spell in France.

The 22-year old Senegal international has been in fine form of late, not only scoring goals, but his work rate and determination to make something happen.

Speaking ahead of the dramatic late, late show against Hearts, Abdallah Sima talked to Rangers TV about his move to Glasgow from the south coast.

Abdallah Sima focussed on getting better for Rangers

Given Sima’s form, and if it continues, demands for the move to be made permanent will only grow louder.

When asked about the decision to join Rangers on RTV, he said:

“Here in Rangers, I have everything to perform to be better and better every game.

“So, yeah, I’m very very happy to be here and well worked hard with these guys.

“It’s every time for me now, to feel good you know, to score goals and help the team.

“Now I just want to be better and better every game.

“And yeah, I’m happy for that.”

Rangers are short of quality options in wide areas and with nine goals in 18 games, Sima has shown that he can be a player trusted to contribute at the sharp end of the pitch, no wonder he has impressed his manager.

There is still a rawness about the former Slavia Prague forward but, he is still young and adapting to a new club.

Clearly though, between his time at Slavia and his start in a misfiring Rangers team, Abdallah Sima has shown that there is a player there.

When his time at Ibrox his finished, he will have just a year left on his contract at Brighton, whether or not this will help Philippe Clement’s case in trying to persuade the board to dig deep and make a January move for Sima, we’ll have to wait and see.

As a player who cost the Premier League outfit a reported £6m transfer fee, even with just 12-months left on his contract, he won’t come cheap.

However, if his recent form is anything to go by, he is only going to get better and could be the rarest of things in the transfer market – a safe bet.
