Rangers’ issues in the striker position are well-documented and unfortunately don’t look like they’re going to relent any time soon.
The Ibrox side rely heavily on first-choice number nine Cyriel Dessers to do the business in front of goal.
The problem is the likeable big hitman, who already has seven strikes this season, often needs three or four chances to find the back of the net.
Brazilian alternative Danilo continues to struggle with injury whilst Moroccan signing Hamza Igamane is still finding his feet.
But as Rangers’ striker toils continue, one £6.8m Ibrox-linked hitman has just sent a reminder of what he can do despite toiling at his new club this season.

Bojan Miovski toiling at Girona
Last season, Aberdeen hitman Bojan Miovski was one of two Scottish Premiership strikers being linked to Rangers.
The 25-year-old Macedonian had a sterling second season with the Dons, netting 44 goals in 98 games in total for Aberdeen since a move from MTK Budapest in 2022.
Alongside Lawrence Shankland – the Hearts talisman still at the centre of Rangers discussions – the Ibrox side were linked as would-be suitors.
But given Bojan Miovski was turning out for Aberdeen, who don’t exactly see eye-to-eye with the Gers, a move always seemed unlikely.
When Miovski eventually wound up moving to La Liga outfit Girona in a £6.8m deal (Sky Sports), the fees involved suggested the Gers never stood a chance.
But approaching six months in Spain, things haven’t gone to plan for Miovski at the Champions League club with the hitman still without a goal since moving to Girona this summer.
Miovski even missed a penalty in the Spanish club’s recent 3-2 Champions League defeat to Feyenoord.
Rangers-linked Aberdeen hero nets Macedonia stunner
With chances now increasingly limited for the striker, Bojan Miovski would’ve been delighted to return to the international fold this week where he rasped in a top-corner stunner for North Macedonia.
The striker curled in a left-foot opener for his nation in a 2-0 win over Armenia in the UEFA Nations League.
It’s a reminder of what the ex-Aberdeen hitman is capable of and may well have Rangers fans sitting up and taking notice.
With things not going to plan in Spain, and Aberdeen never likely to play ball with Rangers directly, the situation may well be of interest to the suits in the Ibrox boardroom.
If Rangers were ever serious Bojan Miovski suitors then the Macedonian hitman is well known to the club’s recruitment team.
As the striker toils in Spain, perhaps Girona might be open to a loan move either in January in the summer as they look to get something back on the striker.
Rangers, in desperate need of more reliable goalscoring at Scottish Premiership level, could certainly do worse and we reckon it’s a question worth asking.
Plus, could you imagine the reaction at Pittodrie?
The Dons fans were angry enough about Connor Barron joining Rangers.
If the Gers could strike a cut-price or temporary deal for Bojan Miovski it would represent a huge blow.
