The transfer of Gent striker Jonathan David to Ligue 1 club Lille is expected to be concluded imminently amid interest in Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.
Reputable French outlet L’Equipe expected the transfer of Canadian striker David to be agreed on Monday 10/08/20.

The paper claims that the 21-year-old forward is primed to sign a five-year deal at Les Dogues with the fee anywhere between £24.7m and £27m.
The news outlet then goes on to claim that if an agreement was reached on Monday, then the player would undergo his medical at Lille ahead of an announcement of the deal.
Jonathan David has previously talked up his desire to sign for the Ligue 1 club [L’Equipe] who have the cash to burn after the sale of Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen.
Some reports claim the deal which took Osimhen to Napoli could earn Lille north of £63m.
Rangers are said to have rejected an improved Lille offer for Alfredo Morelos last week with the French side looking to add two quality forwards to their ranks this transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, Rangers rejected Lille’s bid of £16.25m – their fourth move for the forward – with the Ibrox club holding out for £20m.
Lille are said be “growing frustrated” at this and have even been linked to Rangers flop Umar Sadiq who has resurrected his career in Serbia with Partizan Belgrade [Own Goal Nigeria].
