Oliver McBurnie has hinted he’s staying at Swansea City, as quoted by the Sheffield Star.
The Scotland international striker is a Rangers fan and claimed during an Instagram Q+A back in November, that he would one day move to Ibrox [Scottish Sun].

However, for now, it looks like his future continues to be in Wales.
That’s despite reported interest from Premier League sides, Brighton and Sheffield United [The Sun 19 May page 63] [
“The fans have been absolutely unbelievable with me since I arrived here”, said McBurnie, as quoted by the Sheffield Star.

Despite illness ruling the 22-year-old out of a handful of matches [BBC Sport], he excelled in front of goal across 2018/19.
His 24 strikes in all competitions (22 in the Championship) suggest he is ready for a step up to the Premier League. However, it seems loyalty to the supporters may keep him at the Liberty Stadium for at least another season.
It may be some years yet before we see McBurnie at Ibrox. Yet, as a Bear, a move is surely on his bucket list.
Let’s just hope he’s not too far past his prime, when it eventually comes to fruition.
