‘You can…’ Fashion Sakala urges Rangers to do one thing to Celtic fans at Old Firm

Fashion Sakala has told Rangers to do one thing to the home Celtic crowd during the Old Firm derby today.

The Light Blues take the short trip from Ibrox to Celtic Park this lunchtime in what is a huge match for both sides in the Scottish Premiership title race.

Rangers sit five points behind their arch-rivals but can close the gap to two with a sweet victory in the east end of Glasgow.

Philippe Clement’s would then have two games in hand over a Celtic side who have been struggling under Brendan Rodgers of late.

It’s in stark contrast to Rangers, who are still unbeaten under their new Belgian leader. And a win against Celtic would turbocharge the club’s title ambitions for 2023/24.

Despite Celtic’s sketchy form, it will still be a monumental task to overcome them at a packed out Parkhead.

No Rangers fans will be present inside the ground as the away ticketing feud between the two giants unfortunately continues to drag on.

But former Rangers star Fashion Sakala – who left for Saudi Arabia in the summer for £4m – believes Clement’s charges have what it takes to beat Celtic on their home patch.

He also urged his former Rangers teammates to quieten the Celtic home support and bring all three points back to Ibrox.

Writing on Instagram, Sakala wrote with a number of accompanying emojis: “Good luck boys. We did it before and you can do it again at their home. Silence them.”

Sakala added a video to his story post, which showed the Zambian netting against Celtic in the 1-1 draw against Celtic in May 2022.

Sakala got the better of the Hoops three times in his Rangers career and scored his second and final goal against them in the 3-0 triumph at Ibrox last season.

A similar scoreline today would just be sensational and silencing the Celtic fans, just as Sakala says, would make it the perfect way to bring in the New Year.
