Scott Arfield has been raving over Danny Rohl as Rangers picked up the three points against Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.

After a slow start and a topsy-turvy first half, the Ibrox outfit were a different team in the second period.

Rangers won the game 4-2, and with that reduced the gap between themselves and league leaders Hearts to just two points.

Scott Arfield lauds Danny Rohl’s impact at Rangers

Arfield has highlighted the impact of Rangers picking up the three points on Sunday.

It was imperative that they did not let the bad start have a negative impact on proceedings, and the players went on professionally about their business.

However, what has impressed the former Gers midfielder is how Rohl has galvanised what seemed to be a downbeat dressing room during Russell Martin’s tenure.

In his view, the fact that the Light Blues are in a title race after the start they had is a testament to the job the German has done.

He told the BBC: “It was a massive game.

“Rangers needed to win not just for the result, but for the galvanisation of the team.

“As we mentioned, the job that Danny Rohl has done to get Rangers in the mix of this title race is fantastic.

“It’s not been pretty for Rangers for most of this season.

“Danny Rohl has gone in there and quietly got this team firing again.”

Will Rangers beat Celtic and Hearts to the title?

Celtic have a game in hand over Rangers and Hearts, which they would want to ensure they pick up the three points.

That would put them in the ascendancy, making it their title to lose.

However, in recent games, they have struggled and have needed miracles in stoppage time to bail them out.

There does not appear to be cohesion, and that is beneficial for Rohl and the Gers.

He now seems to have found what his strongest eleven is, and the players are responding well to his tactical principles.

The Ibrox outfit have everything going for them and should be lifting the SPFL title come May.
