Rangers striker Cedric Itten was pictured in training on Tuesday, as a major opportunity beckons for him in the League Cup quarter-final vs St Mirren [Rangers.co.uk].
Itten signed for the Gers from St Gallen in August for a reported fee of £2.7m [Sky Sports], following a strong season in the Swiss Super League.

He’s been predominantly used off the bench since then, with Alfredo Morelos still the club’s first-choice striker.
From the 26 matches that have taken place since his arrival, the 23-year-old has only made five starts.
However, he impressed in the Gers’ final Europa League group stage fixture in Poznan last week and a retrospective two-match ban for Morelos makes it highly likely that he’ll be given the nod in Paisley.
The Switzerland international was pictured taking part in training at the Rangers Football Centre on Tuesday as preparations were completed for the game.
In the past, losing Morelos for a quarter-final may have sent panic through the ranks.
Yet, the Colombian striker has only scored twice in his last 15 appearances and Itten has shown enough in recent times to excite Gers supporters.
At 6ft 2″ he brings a commanding physical presence, while his finish in Poland was one of a top-level player.

St Mirren have only conceded twice in their last five matches in all competitions but Itten will have a point to prove and it’s likely that Gerrard will show faith in his summer signing in Paisley.
Itten could be one of several players to come into the XI who missed out at Dundee United at the weekend, with Tuesday’s press conference hinting that a silky international is in line for a recall.
