Rangers star John Lundstram has urged the Ibrox crowd to stick with the team as they look to overcome Premier League giants Liverpool in the Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp’s men might have started the season on ropey form domestically but they were beaten finalists last season and remain one of the strongest squads in world football.
There is optimism in the Rangers camp but there is clearly no-one under any illusions that the match with the Anfield giants will be an easy one even with the backing of the fans.
Rangers boss van Bronckhorst has already hinted at a change in approach and John Lundstram has urged his team to be aggressive but the fans to stick with them as they welcome Liverpool into the Ibrox cauldron.

Lundstram paid testament to the power of Ibrox on European nights and from the boyhood Liverpool fan’s comments, it’s clear the Rangers support have a big role to play this evening.
“There’s something special about Ibrox on European nights,” said Lundstram [Rangers].
“As long as we’re up against them and laying a glove on them, hopefully we can get something.”
“At Ibrox, you have to get up against people, get the crowd up, get them going and try to instil a bit of fear in the opposition,” he said.
“Anyone who has been here will have felt the atmosphere, felt the aura around the place. If we can get up to them and in their faces, it might leave us open a bit and everyone will have to be brave in the stands and bear with us.
“If we can do that, that’s the only way we can get a result against a team like Liverpool, who are really talented.”
Rangers remain goalless and pointless in Champions League Group A and know that anything but a point at least from the Liverpool game likely leaves the club without European football after Christmas.
