Rangers full-back Borna Barisic has been nominated for the SFPL Goal of the Month Award for August.
The 26-year-old’s stunning free-kick away at St Mirren late last month was a strike fit to win any game, and it proved enough for three points on the day.
The Gers had struggled to break down their stubborn hosts and it took a bit of magic from a player who despite arriving last summer, is still finding his feet at Ibrox.

It was his first official goal in the Light Blue jersey and certainly a worthy contender for this accolade.
Rangers defender Barisic nominated by SPFL
That’s where Bears come in. The winner will be decided by fan votes, and therefore, he needs help to secure it.
Especially, given the strong competition from the other nine nominees. On the shortlist, there are some cracking goals from the lower divisions as well as from other Scottish Premiership players.
Jack Hobbs’ volley for Livingston away at Ross County stands out, as does Cove Rangers midfielder Declan Glass’ long-range hit and Callum Gallagher of Airdrie’s overhead kick.
Given his tumultuous start to life at Rangers, though, it’d be great to see Barisic take this one home.
Voting can be done by commenting underneath the video on the SPFL’s Facebook Page.
The defender is in Euro 2020 Qualifying action for his country in Slovakia this evening, but let’s hope he saves up more of those pinpoint set-pieces, for when he returns to Gers duty.
