Glenn Middleton was one of four young Rangers talents to feature in training ahead of Sunday’s trip to Motherwell, despite reports linking him with a loan transfer.
Middleton was snapped taking part in Friday’s session, as were Nathan Patterson, Ciaran Dickson and goalkeeper, Brian Kinnear.
The pacey 21-year-old has been a peripheral figure at Ibrox for two years now, despite featuring 24 times over the first half of the 2018/19 season.
In December, the Daily Record reported that the Scotland U21 international was set to leave the club for a third loan spell of his career, with Dutch clubs Ado Den Haag and NAC Breda both interested.
However, three weeks on, he’s still at Ibrox and training with the first team.

The Record report insisted that Steven Gerrard still rates the former Norwich Academy player, who he’s been attempting to convert into a left-back or left wing-back this season.
Middleton played in his new role in a League Cup win at Falkirk and he was also deployed there in a bounce match against Hibernian.
Theoretically, his new-found versatility should be giving him an edge over his competition, with Brandon Barker and Jordan Jones both also struggling for game time right now.

However, if Middleton does make the squad at Fir Park on Sunday, it will be his first Premiership matchday involvement of the season.
Neither Dickson nor Kinnear have realistic hopes of being included but Patterson is very much James Tavernier’s back-up at right-back and has made the squad for 17 of 23 league fixtures to date.
