Rangers injury news vs Dundee with two stars back training individually

Rangers boss Philippe Clement has told the press that two of his players have started to train individually as the treatment room at Ibrox clears up again.

The Light Blues face Dundee in the Premier Sports Cup on Saturday evening as they look to secure a semi-final spot at Hampden.

Incidentally, Rangers have played their last ‘home’ league game at Hampden with a return to Ibrox scheduled for the weekend against Tony Docherty’s men.

But Clement has confirmed that three players won’t be available for the cup tie in Govan, however two of them are stepping up their recoveries.

Clement sat down at the Rangers Training Centre on Friday to deliver the news that left-back Ridvan Yilmaz and striker Danilo are back training on the grass but not yet with the full squad.

Meanwhile, winger Rabbi Matondo isn’t back training yet as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury sustained against Celtic.

Clement said: “The same as last week. So Ridvan and Danilo will stay out and Rabbi also. Ridvan and Danilo are individually on the pitch training, not with the team and Rabbi not yet.

“The rest of the team will be available for selection.”
