Rangers have been handed a glowing commendation by the official website of Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig ahead of their Europa League semi-final.
The Gers are heading to Germany ahead of the first-leg of the hotly anticipated clash and will take confidence from having already dumped Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund earlier in the competition.

But RB Leipzig are a side on form and certainly no mugs as they vie for a first-ever European final in the controversial club’s history.
The Germans are bankrolled by energy drink giants Red Bull and the commercial nature of the football club is viewed as being anti-German football by many rival fans.
But despite the groans RB Leipzig continue to be nothing but complimentary towards Rangers and were once again glowing in their praise as they previewed the match online.
Describing Rangers as “tough opposition”, the German club praised Rangers for maintaining a challenge on three fronts.
The website also singled out James Tavernier as the key player in the Ibrox side, the Gers right-back the competition’s joint top scorer with six strikes.
It’s a glowing preview and highlights the monumental respect RB Leipzig are showing Rangers ahead of what promises to be a memorable clash. Read it HERE.
RB Leipzig affording Rangers huge Europa League respect
It’s not the first time RB Leipzig have been ultra respectful of Rangers as positive comments continue to come out of the club’s dressing room.
When the draw was made, Spanish international winger Dani Olmo claimed that the German side did not want to come up against Rangers in the competition.
“I would have preferred to face a different rival in the semi-final and not Rangers. But in a European semi-final any opponent is dangerous,” said Dani Olmo [Daily Record].
“We’re focused on Rangers and our objective is to be in the final in Seville. Rangers are having a big season in the Europa League.
“I have enormous respect for the Scottish club and I’m convinced it will be two intense matches.
“To play the second match at Ibrox offers more problems for us so we want a good score at home – but we don’t fear the Glasgow atmosphere. The success of this team is in our spirit and maybe that can make us Europa champions.

“But Rangers have an excellent squad. The chances of reaching the final are 50/50. I doubt that’ll change after the first match.”
Rangers travel to RB Leipzig to play the first leg on Thursday the 28th of April before they play the return back in Glasgow and Ibrox on May 5th.
Meanwhile, RB Leipzig manager Domenico Tedesco claims he does not regret dropping a number of key players amid defeat over the weekend.
