Rangers fans have reacted after the starting XI was confirmed for Wednesday night’s League Cup quarter-final against St Mirren [Official Rangers FC Twitter].
The Gers are in Paisley looking to extend their remarkable unbeaten run to 28 matches by securing a win over an in-form Buddies outfit.

Jim Goodwin’s side have taken seven points from their last three Premiership matches and have only conceded twice in five in all competitions, while the Gers are without both Ryan Jack (injury) and Alfredo Morelos (suspension).
However, Steven Gerrard will be determined to go all the way in the League Cup this year after coming agonisingly close last season and he’s named an imposing lineup.
Allan McGregor starts in goal and there’s one change to the back four, as Calvin Bassey replaces Borna Barisic to join James Tavernier, Connor Goldson and Leon Balogun.
As expected, Joe Aribo returns in midfield and he is accompanied by both Scott Arfield and Bongani Zungu.

Meanwhile, Cedric Itten has been granted a rare start up front and the Switzerland international will be supported by both Kemar Roofe and Ryan Kent.
Will this team be strong enough to secure the Gers’ passage to the semi-finals?
