Rangers fans have reacted after the starting XI was confirmed for Thursday night’s Europa League Last 16 second-leg clash against Slavia Prague.

The Gers drew 1-1 in the Czech capital last week with Filip Helander’s tap-in cancelling out Nicolae Stanciu’s impressive opener.

That result means the tie is well set up for Rangers, with Steven Gerrard’s men knowing a 0-0 draw or a win with any scoreline at Ibrox would be enough to see them through to the quarter-finals.

Earlier this week, James Tavernier and Ryan Jack were both ruled out through injury, but the manager still had a strong squad to choose from.

Allan McGregor continues in goal but there’s one change to the back four with Leon Balogun coming in to join Nathan Patterson, Connor Goldson and Borna Barisic at the expense of Filip Helander.

In midfield, Steven Davis and Glen Kamara retain their spots, but Scott Arfield returns to the side, pushing Joe Aribo further upfield.

Ianis Hagi drops to the bench as Aribo takes up the right inside forward berth, while Ryan Kent starts on the opposite side and Alfredo Morelos leads the line.

Will this side be strong enough to secure progression?

Plenty of supporters were surprised at the omission of Helander. The big Swede played well in the first leg and had started six games in a row in all competitions.
