New Rangers signing Nicolas Raskin is one of four fresh injury doubts as the Ibrox side travel to Livingston in the Scottish Premiership this weekend.
The Belgian youth international midfielder, 21, joined the Ibrox side on deadline day and played an influential role in last weekend’s 3-2 victory over Partick Thistle.
Nicolas Raskin dinked the ball onto the head of Antonio Colak to equalise at 1-1 in the second half but the victory has come at the cost of an injury to the ex-Standard Liege star.
Rangers are also sweating over the fitness of Connor Goldson, Ryan Jack and John Lundstram heading into the match, as the club’s contagious injury issues this season continue to ravage the squad.
“John Lundstram’s touch and go, we had a slight issue with Connor last week so we gave him the rest in the game, he was there if we needed him,” Michael Beale said [Rangers].
“Nico Raskin had some issues after the game, Ryan Jack’s got a little bit. There’s no one else coming back right now so we’ll see how we go after training tomorrow.
“It’s all a little bit up in the air I would say in terms of selection right now but we go there with a strong squad regardless with who’s available.”
Nicolas Raskin a Rangers injury doubt
The Rangers manager was then pressed on the injury situations involving Nicolas Raskin and Ryan Jack in particular and Michael Beale put the situation down to fatigue.
As for Jacko – who has been a perennial fitness doubt over the last few seasons – Beale claimed his issue is “not ideal” as the manager expresses frustration at the continuing injury problems at the club.
“Nico felt a bit of fatigue after the game so we haven’t taken any risks with him,” said Beale.

“He’s not returned to training just yet. He will return tomorrow. With John Lundstram I will have to take a view of where he is at. Ryan Jack had a slight problem after the game which is not ideal if I’m honest.
“Since I came back into the club we’ve had to play with no fit centre-backs and I’m learning to take a deep breath and trust whatever team I put out to play at the weekend.”
Whilst three points are essential against Livingston, Rangers will have one eye on the next weekend’s Viaplay Cup Final clash with Celtic and let’s hope the Gers’ options have increased by then.
Meanwhile, Leon King has his heart set on a Scotland call.
