Holders Rangers enter the Scottish Cup at the fourth round stage this afternoon and Dumbarton will be the opposition in West Dunbartonshire.

The Light Blues return to competitive action after the winter break in La Manga and will be looking to make short work of their League Two opposition.

That is if the pitch is deemed playable at 1pm this afternoon following an inspection. The recent cold snap has cast doubt over the Dumbarton Football Stadium’s on-foot conditions and fans will be hoping the decision is a favourable one.

Here, Rangers News provides you with everything there is to know about the David vs Goliath cup clash including how to watch on TV, the kick-off time, team news and a score prediction.

Rangers should make short work of their League Two opposition this evening. The only real issue could be how the pitch plays with Clement stating its condition is “really bad”.

That could cause a problem or two when trying to build up a quick rhythms of passing but it cannot be used as an excuse if the worst happens.

We think the manager will hand a few fringe players a chance against Dumbarton which would still be more than enough to turn over the Sons, who sit fourth in Scotland’s fourth tier.

This could be a great chance for Fabio Silva to get off the mark in a Rangers jersey and perhaps boost the confidence of a Rabbi Matondo too.
