Ryan Stevenson was the co-commentator on BBC Radio Scotland for the game between Hearts and Rangers at Tynecastle on Monday.
Rangers lost 2-1 to Hearts, a result that all but ended their hopes of winning the Scottish Premiership this season.
The Light Blues are currently seven points behind Hearts on the SPFL table with just three games left to play.
Would Rangers have won the league if they signed Lawrence Shankland instead of Youssef Chermiti?
Ryan Stevenson appears to cheer for Hearts like a fan live on air
Stevenson clearly was celebrating the second goal Hearts scored that put them in the lead and seven points clear of Rangers at the time.
A sound clip shared by X user Jamie clearly shows his partisanship in a job where he’s expected to be neutral.
The 41-year-old spent three stints at Hearts during his playing career and even came up the ranks at the club.
However, that should not give him the liberty to celebrate like a fan when he is on air.
He is there for his neutrality and to offer his insights on the game as an ex-pro.
It remains to be seen if the BBC continue to keep him on during Hearts games as most of the fans want neutrality.
Will Rangers sack Danny Rohl if they fail to win the league?
If he goes, who would be a good replacement for him?
How will Rangers respond against Celtic?
Rohl knows that if he sets out the team the same way he did in the second half against Hearts, there is little to no chance of getting the right result against Celtic.
It makes sense to go with a similar approach to the one he deployed when the Gers went to Parkhead and beat their arch rivals 3-1.
After struggling in the first half, Rohl decided to make changes in the second period and that paid off.

They competed better in transitions, looked to exploit the space left behind due to Celtic’s high press, and Youssef Chermiti showed up with the goods and scored a hat-trick.
Rangers were happy to concede possession, but stayed compact and kept hitting the Hoops on the counter.
Ahead of this weekend’s clash, Celtic have it all to play for, so they will attack and leave themselves exposed at the back.
This could be the perfect opportunity for the Gers to strike.
