Barry Ferguson has seen his interim Rangers managerial stint end in tears as the Gers crash out of the Europa League.
Rangers have been defeated by Athletic Club to leave the Gers’ season ending in bitter disappointment after a woefully poor domestic campaign.
There are now major questions over Barry Ferguson becoming Rangers manager but he’s certainty got support from the Gers dressing room.

James Tavernier wanted Barry Ferguson to become Rangers manager
James Tavernier reckons that Barry Ferguson should become the next permanent manager of Rangers.
The Ibrox captain was speaking to TNT Sports after the 2-0 defeat to Athletic Club and reckons Ferguson has been a breath of fresh air.
”I’ve been really happy since Barry came in,” Tavernier told TNT Sports.
”He’s really steadied the ship with us, the demand that he’s put on us lot, he obviously knows the DNA of the club with the staff he’s got.
”It’s obviously not my decision but I would love to have Barry for next season.
”Even tactically with Neil and Doddsy, they’re a great group who get right behind the boys and push the boys so it’s obviously not up to me but it would be good to see him stay here.”
James Tavernier assumes Rangers responsibility
James Tavernier has taken responsibly for his role in Athletic Club’s second goal in the win over Rangers.
The Gers captain admits that he lost Spanish attacker Nico Williams at the back post and admits that he should’ve done better.
The Rangers skipper also insists that things can ‘only get better’ as the Gers look towards a busy summer of change.
”The second goal is on me,” Tavernier said.
”I was organising and then I switched off with the cross and then it’s two goals and you’re trying to get back into the game with ten minutes to go. It’s obviously a lot to do.
”We have to reflect on this season because it’s not been good enough, especially domestically, so we have to address that.
”There’s obviously going to be a lot change within the club so we can only get better.”
