Rangers hammered Kilmarnock on Wednesday evening, to secure their place in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals.
It was a much improved display and it’s no surprise who was the catalyst.

The Colombian striker had missed the previous two matches through suspension.
Unsurprisingly, the Gers failed to net on either occasion.

Back in the side, it didn’t take him long to get underway in this huge game in Rangers’s season.
With just seven minutes on the clock, Daniel Candeias picked out El Buffalo at the back post and he finished cooly.

On the stroke of half-time, he doubled both his tally and Rangers’s advantage, after another great pick out from Candeias.
He was in the right place at the right time, as all good strikers are.
Yet, that wasn’t the end of it. He still had a third and fourth left in his locker.
What a player.

27 goals would be an excellent overall tally at the end of the season. There’s a couple of months left though, and Alfredo is already there.

Despite all his misdemeanours, he’s still extremely popular among the Ibrox faithful, which shows the level of his performances when available for selection.
