Rangers fans absolutely loved the debut of Borna Barisic after signing for nearly £2million from NK Osijek last week.

Barisic made his debut at left-back in a solid 2-0 home win over St Mirren today. The Gers supporters saw what they were hoping for as he consistently bombed down the left-wing.

This therefore allowed Jon Flanagan to switch sides and operate down his more suitable right-back role. The difference was noticeable and effective as both men put in convincing displays.

However, it was Barisic who took the acclaim of the support on Twitter. Here’s a look at what was said about the Croatian stalwart:

Barisic arrives with huge potential, and has clearly made an early impact amongst the support. How he kicks on will be key however, with a host of big matches come up.

As a trip to Parkhead looms next month, Rangers can’t afford to look further than their trip to Maribor in the second leg of their Europa League qualifier on Thursday night.
