With a timid performance at Pittodrie in the books, Jamie Murphy needs to start improving with supporters on his back.
Murphy looked a decent signing on paper when he moved permanently from Brighton over the summer, but a quiet start to the season has fans questioning whether he’s the man to take up that left-wing position in Steven Gerrard’s new-look side.

With emotions still running high after a controversial 1-1 stalemate against the Dons, Murphy had to take it in the neck from sections of the support, who feel the former Motherwell forward isn’t producing the goods early on in the season.

It’s clear that Murphy is struggling to win over large sections of the Gers support, and improved performances are a must if he’s to be a mainstay in Gerrard’s side.
