Now, it could be time for him to make his first-team bow.

It’s highly unlikely Gerrard would throw such a youngster in from the start. But, it’s hard to imagine a better time for a debut than a home game when there’s nothing left to play for in terms of league position.
Hopefully, then, he’ll be included in the squad come the weekend and will be given a chance to shine in the closing stages.
