Rangers Predicted XI for Scottish Cup Quarter-Final vs Aberdeen

Rangers are back in action on Sunday, and will be looking to secure a place in the last four of the Scottish Cup.
Standing in their way, are an Aberdeen side who have already bested them twice this season.

However, last time around, Rangers went up to Pittodrie and emerged 4-2 winners.
Gerrard’s men know they can progress if the performance level is right.
With recent form strong, there’s little need for wholesale changes from the side that defeated Dundee 4-0, in midweek.

Steven Gerrard revealed during Friday’s press conference, as quoted by the Rangers Twitter account, that two players are doubtful.
Scott Arfield and Andy Halliday.

Any lingering doubts over the latter, should mean that Borna Barisic continues unopposed at left-back.
If the former misses out, then a change will need to be made.
With Steven Davis short of form, the most likely beneficiary, is 6ft 3′ fan favourite, Ross McCrorie. He has been left out of the starting lineup for the last three games after being usurped by Glen Kamara.
Therefore, an injury to Arfield could be just the opportunity he needed.

This swap would take away an element of the Gers’ attacking threat, but shores up the side defensively.
Elsewhere, things should remain as they were on Wednesday.
After five consecutive clean sheets, Connor Goldson and Joe Worrall are set to be the starting centre-backs, while Alfredo Morelos will lead the line.
